# Admin: Overview of Lists

**How are lists useful, and why do we use them?**

# What is a list? How are they useful?

**Lists are used to display large amounts of data, and throughout the admin dashboard, you’ll find different lists. Products use a list to display all your products, but also Brands, Synonyms, Integration, etc., use a list.**

**Lists are very flexible; columns can be hidden or visible and even drag-and-dropped to the location you want for that specific column. Almost all fields can also be both searched and filtered in many ways!**

# Columns

Feel free to select any columns you want to display:

It’s possible to search for a column title:

**Drag-and-drop any column** to the place where you want it - don’t stress - move the columns slowly, and they will “stick”:

Most columns can be sorted in ASC, DESC or default mode:

Most columns may also be pinned to the left or right, filtered on, hidden etc:

# Filters

Most columns can be filtered in lots of ways. Select the columns you want to filter on:

Select HOW you want to filter it:

And on WHICH WORD(S) you want to filter:

Click outside to close the filter. Now a filter is active, as you can see 1 filter is active and the “Name” column has a new filter-icon on it since that’s the column that’s being filtered:

It’s even possible to add several filters using and/or, and select other columns to filter on as well - at the same time:

Click “Remove all” to get rid of all filters.

# Search

The search in admin will search all the available data and columns. Matches are **highlighted** in color:

It also searches for SKU + EAN:

And it even works well with spelling errors!:

# Add, Edit, Delete a row

You may edit each row in a list by using the …-icon on the right hand side. Usually the options are to Add, Edit, Delete the row:
