# Categories: List + Edit a category

# Categories



Each category may have **up to 4 subcategories (5 in total)**.

All categories are **automatically imported** if you’re using M:AI’s Ecommerce integration.
All categories are also **automatically synced** from your Ecommerce to M:AI every 24 hours, at 02:00 CET time.

## Set sort order of a category

You can drag and drop all categories and subcategories into another category. You can also change their sort order.
To do this, use the icon with 6 dots. Just left-click, hold, and drag to move them:

If you use one of our M:AI Ecommerce integrations, the sort order may be locked.
This happens because it follows the Ecommerce store’s category sort order.

## Add, Edit, Delete a category

All categories can be edited, deleted, and subcategories may be added by clicking the …-icon:

# Languages

Set the translation to the category by editing it. Don’t forget to click “Update”. 
Remove translations by clicking the red X-icon:
