P.S. We describe the Premium plan unless otherwise stated.

Variants on this product

If you have variant on your products they are displayed at the bottom of the edit product page:

Variants can be search for and filtered on in the list. Columns can be drag-n-dropped in another order and hidden or displayed.

How to drag-n-drop columns, use filters and search lists →

Add new variants, edit or delete existing variants:

Add variants to a product

If you've clicked "+ Add variant" in the product list you'll see this page:

To add a new variant, find the section named "Variants" and simply type the variant name you want ie. Color, Pattern, Length etc in the variant name field.
Click "+ Add 'Pattern'" or whichever value you entered:

Variant name & Variant type

This window is displayed with the variant name. Add additional languages if needed.

Select which type of variant this is, in our case "Pattern" will consist of External images.

Change layout to checkboxes, external images, color, button. See layout types →

Click "Create" when done:

Variant value

Now that the variant name "Pattern" is created, let's create some values:

We will add "Squares" as our first value.
Click "+ Add 'Squares'" or whichever value you entered:

Image url to variant value

This window is displayed and since we've selected "External images" as our variant type you need to enter the url to the image that looks like the pattern of "Squares". Also add additional languages if needed.

Click "Create" when done:

Now we've created a variant called "Pattern" with one value called "Squares".
You may edit the variant's name or it's values with the pen-icon:

Additional information to variant value

We've created our first variant template with the variant name and only one value "Squares". Now you may add additional information to the variant such as stock status, stock quantity, image url to the specific variant, SKU, EAN, pricing per currency (both regular price and sale price) etc.

If this variant value "Squares" has a unique url add "Url to variant", otherwise it will inherit the product's url.

Same with price, if no price is set, this variant value will inherit it's parent product price.

It's also possible to set the visibility of this product variant to Visible or Hidden (OFF).

If this variant's price include taxes or VAT in % is controlled by the product.

All fields are optional except the two fields in "Variants" that's mandatory.

Click "Create" to create your first variant value called "Squares" including all it's data!

Save!

Now we've returned to the product, and if we scroll down to "Variants on this product" we'll see that a variant value is created called "Squares":

How do you want to continue?
