About the integration


M:AI Search is built as an easy-to-use plug-and-play Shopify app. With just one click, the AI search is installed!


The installation process in 3 steps


1. Install the app


Install our Shopify app called 'M:AI User‑Friendly Site Search’ in your Shopify store.


  • All your products, variants, categories, and brands are automatically fetched to M:AI.

  • All updates made to your products in Shopify are instantly reflected in M:AI.

2. Go to our app


Find our Shopify app M:AI, and click the “Go to M:AI admin” button on the right-hand side:



In M:AI Admin, you are able to:


  1. Preview how the AI search will look like before activating it in your Shopify theme (select preferred language in M:AI admin, then click the eye-icon).

  1. Check that your collections, brands, and products are set up correctly. They should be available in the languages and currencies you want.

  1. Go to Import integration > Ecommerce. Check the "Integration tasks" list. You will see that the import of all your products from Shopify is now in progress!



Follow the how-to guide 3. Setup: After products are imported to set variants and filters.

Your main market, language, and currency should be set automatically. However, you can easily add additional markets using the guide Multilingual: Markets, languages & currencies.


3. Go LIVE - add and enable M:AI in your theme


PREVIEW mode is always available, but when you are ready to go LIVE with M:AI in your Shopify store, follow this guide to enable the Shopify app M:AI in your theme with 1 click.
