Many words have synonyms that can be used to replace or clarify their meaning. For example, a synonym for the word "attractive" could be "beautiful”.



Note that a synonym could also be a sentence! You might want to redirect your visitor’s search from one product to another. Then just create a synonym for the old product name to the new product name you want to suggest.

If visitors often use a word that you don’t have as a product name or description, add it as a synonym. It might be an outdated category or product. Then, suggest the new category or product.

Bidirectional synonym

We’ve added the synonym words attractive, beautiful, gorgeous. They are all bidirectional to each other. This means that if I search on “attractive” then “beautiful” and “gorgeous” will be suggested as search words.

One-directional synonym

Usually synonyms are suggested in one direction. As an example we’ve also added the words contrasting, distinct, different.
